Dog Training in Your Home - Myrtle Beach SC
Sunny Dogs Training Company offers In-Home Training Services to those folks who require one-on-one guidance, specific efforts spent with their dog or dogs directly, and attention to and resolution of behavior problems. In-Home Private Lessons enable the client to address the at-home issues faced with the dog daily, and have some flexibility with regard to lesson schedules. The overall benefits of in-home training include being able to take advantage of the comfort of your dog in his own environment and to teach you, the owner, how you can train your dog within your daily routine.
Puppy “Right Start” Consultation: $155
Congratulations on getting your new puppy! This is a very positive and exciting time for you and your pup, though we need to tell you, it can also be exhausting and frustrating. Let us help you from the beginning! This is an up-to two-hour consultation at your home which will give you everything you need to know about your puppy and how to prepare him to be a great dog. We will discuss important developmental stages, how to appropriately interact with the pup, how to prevent potty accidents and housetrain him, leash use beyond walking, and the inevitable puppy things we don’t like, such as destructive chewing, biting, demand barking, etc.). By the end of the consultation, you will have the tools and confidence needed to raise a well-balanced and well-behaved dog! (This consultation is strictly for puppies aged 8 to 18 weeks.)
Initial Consultation/Evaluation: $70*
The best training programs are ones tailored to your specific needs, environments and circumstances. If your training goals are as simple as basic obedience cues, or as complex as Behavior Modification and Fears, Anxieties and/or Aggression, we first require an in-home consultation (up to 75 minutes) to go over all the finer details and ensure that we are addressing your needs individually. During the consultation/evaluation, we will also begin to troubleshoot some of the issues you are having, and discuss what you can begin doing right away. Each consultation comes with a tailored training program that will serve as your guideline, as well as 30 days of email support. (Note: This consultation is required prior to starting any training program, and if we have not yet met you and your dog. (*The $70 fee for the consultation is waived with the purchase of a training package on the same day.)
Individual Hourly Sessions: $80/session
Obedience – Basic (5 One-Hour Sessions): $390
Obedience – Advanced (10 One-Hour Sessions): $770
Is it time for your pup to learn something new? Maybe the basics, maybe a little more? The obedience training packages focus on the foundational elements of good dog behavior – sit, down, stay, come, loose-leash walk, etc. Always using positive, reward-based methods, this is a fun way to teach your dog what you’d like and to have quality and active interaction with him as well.
Behavior Modification: 5-Pack for $420 or 10-Pack for $800
Is your dog misbehaving? Maybe a little? Maybe a lot? We all love our dogs, but we must understand that nobody is perfect. But, knowing when to ask for help will benefit your dog’s life, your life, and perhaps the lives of others in the community! After your initial consultation, you will receive a tailored training program based on your goals for your dog. This program will act as your guideline as we instruct you on methods of training, management, prevention and counter-conditioning. The amount of sessions required varies depending on several factors, all of which will be determined in the consultation.
Fears, Anxieties and/or Aggression: 10-Pack for $950
Sometimes, your dog may express more severe behaviors that may ultimately be not just scary for him and you, but dangerous or a potential liability. This program includes, but is not limited to dogs exhibiting separation anxiety, fears of strangers, fears of other dogs, environmental phobias, fears of new items/situations, human aggression (at home or away), and dog aggression. These behavioral issues can be the hardest to work, consequently making your dog difficult to own. We will instruct you on developing a plan to help the quality of your dog’s life, and as a result, the quality of your life. Along with skills taught in the Behavior Modification program, you will learn methods of management, specialized desensitization, and counter-conditioning. This program is very intensive and requires at least 10 private sessions at at least 2 sessions per week. It is important to note: although great forward strides can be make in adult dogs with fears and true aggression, there is no guaranteed “cure” for these behaviors. Anyone who advises otherwise may be misleading you.
